3-Hour Self Defense from Horseback Training

Have you ever wondered what you would do if you were attacked by someone while you were riding your horse?  Unfortunately, today this is as real a possibility as if you were walking to your car in a parking lot.  Some riders are prepared and have a plan, but most do not.  MAKE YOUR PLAN BEFORE YOU RIDE.  This 3-hour training course consists of 1 hour of classroom instruction, followed by 2 hours of practical training in the saddle, all to prepare you to avoid dangers, teach you skills to defend yourself from attack while you are in the saddle, and educate you on current Florida laws regarding self defense.

All instruction is supervised by graduates of the University of Louisville - Southern Police Institute's Mounted Law Enforcement Instructor Course. Participation in this course is by advance registration only.  To reserve your place in this class, it is recommend that you register early.

This course is intended for equestrians 18 years of age and older who want to learn how to better prepare themselves and their horses if it becomes necessary to ward off an attack while on horseback.  This course is considered by some to be somewhat physically challenging.  Participant should be in reasonably good health and without any physical or medical condition that could be worsened by the activities of the class, or that might otherwise create a risk to the participant or others.

$50 if paid on or after April 1, 2018

Note:  This price includes the student manual and instruction; however, it does NOT include meals, travel expenses, accommodations for yourself or horses, or the cost of leasing a horse for the class if you will not be bringing one.
